La Clé en Provence
A spacious, modern, authentic, provencal-style houseIn the heart of France’s stunning Provence
“La Clé” (“The Key”) is a large, beautifully appointed house (300m2 / 3230ft2), with its own private pool, terraced olive garden, on just over one hectare of private woodland. This highly desirable property rental is perfect for large groups and families looking for an authentic holiday experience in the South of France.
Just a 10 min walk from the picturesque artisan village of Cotignac, La Clé en Provence is the key to experiencing all the very best the region of Provence has to offer.
La Clé en Provence underwent extensive structural changes over 54 years to adapt to our expanding family. In 2007, we undertook further renovations, transforming La Clé into the spacious and welcoming 7 bedrooms (4 bathrooms) modern house it is today.
La Clé is a very versatile property with dining and relaxation areas both for large groups to come together and nooks and crannies for those who’d prefer quiet time by themselves simply to soak up the exquisite views of the un-spoilt countryside.
The nearby village of Cotignac boasts an impressive selection of restaurants; a culinary delight for every palate and wallet. The village is also home to a fine selection of fresh local produce, including local wines and olive oils. A food lover’s heaven!
Provence is known for its wealth of sporting, leisure and cultural activities and La Clé has the advantage of being close to a variety of some must-see local attractions, notably the breathtaking Cascade de Sillans (Sillans’s waterfall) and the magnificent Le Thoronet Abbey. Venture further afield and take in the scenic drive around the Gorges du Verdon (Verdon Canyon) or for the more active try out a wide selection of water sports on the lakes of Verdon, check www.la-provence-verte.net for further information. If you’re excited by the lifestyles of the uber-rich and beautiful and want to indulge in some boutique shopping then include a trip to the very glamorous St Tropez, just a little over an hour’s drive from La Clé. Art enthusiasts should plan a visit to Aix en Provence, the birthplace of the post-impressionist painter, Paul Cézanne and see the studio where he produced several of his masterpieces.
Whatever you decide to do here, we hope you enjoy the house which we believe has been restored and refurbished with respect for the surrounding natural beauty. La Clé is truly a gem buried deep in the heart of Provence, waiting to be explored.
Bienvenue à La Clé! Eamonn et Aude!
